Victory Pyrotechnics has built a reputation for breathtaking firework and special effects displays. But behind the scenes, outdated spreadsheets and manual workflows were slowing the team down. They needed a scalable solution that could streamline scheduling, improve communication, and manage both complex regulated inventory and everyday gear—all in one place.

That’s when they turned to LASSO.

Like many event companies, Victory Pyrotechnics had relied on spreadsheets for years, but as the business grew, the cracks began to show. Scheduling was slow and inefficient, requiring hours of building spreadsheets, tracking availability, and managing shift bids. Communication was equally fragmented, with critical details like call times, pay rates, and hotel bookings scattered across texts, emails, and group chats. Inventory management added another layer of complexity, as compliance demanded dual tracking for ATF- and DOT-regulated explosives as well as gear—an error-prone process dependent on manual entry. 

Even when Victory tried alternative software solutions, they only “worked for a year” before reaching a ceiling, forcing the team back into the hunt for something new. As Director of Operations Kennady King explained, “I didn’t want a software that we’d outgrow in one or two years. I wanted something that could meet us where we were, but still allow us to grow.”
