Saddle Up Summit 2026 Recap: Nashville, LASSO Intelligence, and What’s Next

Aug 4, 2026

Inside Saddle Up Summit 2026 at Virgin Hotels Nashville — the LASSO Intelligence launch, hands-on Labs, what customers told us in the post-event survey, and what's coming in 2027.

Nashville is LASSO’s hometown, so we invited the folks who know us best to get to know us even better.

This year’s Summit was one to remember—July 14–16 at Virgin Hotels Nashville. We’ve written down all the details so you will, too.

The Welcome Reception Set the Tone

Tuesday was arrivals, check-in, and a rooftop welcome reception that ran long in the best way. No sessions, no slides. Just badges, drinks, and the specific relief of talking shop with somebody who already knows what a 5 AM call time does to a crew schedule.

If you were there, you’ll recognize a few faces. If you weren’t, here’s what you missed.

Wednesday Was the Big One

Clay Sifford opened the day with The New Era of Live Events, a keynote about where this industry is actually heading, built on what our customers have been telling us for the last two years rather than a market forecast.

Then we handed over LASSO Intelligence.

We launched LASSO Intelligence in May, and Less Chaos, Smarter Decisions was the first time customers got hands on it in their own instances. Thirty minutes of demo, then thirty minutes of open exploration: real data, real workflows, real questions. Lassie, our AI agent, fielded prompts from the room about crew availability, quote history, and timecard exceptions. Watching an ops director ask a question in plain English and get an answer out of their own five years of event data was the moment the room shifted.

Jay and Lucas followed with Time Talk: What’s New & What You Need—a walk through the latest in LASSO Time, running live, with the room asking questions as it went.

This is a feature request we have had waiting ever since we got started with LASSO in 2023…there was like confetti going off in my brain I was so excited.

—Kennady King, Victory Pyrotechnics & Special Effects

Then we broke into breakouts, three of them, each run twice so you could catch more than one:

  • Dollars & Sense: How LASSO Pays for Itself—Angela Alea’s rapid-fire tour of where margin leaks across labor, approvals, inventory, and billing
  • LASSO Intelligence Q&A—Jay Bredenberg taking real scenarios from the room on what Ask and Act do today, and what’s coming with Alert
  • From First Plan to Final Cue—LASSO Event Management end to end, including Project Management, Rundown, and Prompter

The LASSO Solutions Station, Vouch Couch, Sponsor Spotlight Tables, Live LASSO Demos, and the AI Playground stayed open all day, and the hallway traffic proved the point: some of the best problem-solving happened between sessions, not in them.

Wednesday afternoon was yours—a Ryman backstage tour, Ole Smoky moonshine, a Pontoon Saloon river cruise, the Country Music Hall of Fame, or a quiet corner and your inbox. Then we all reconvened at Odie’s Midtown for line dancing, custom Ranger Stitch embroidery, and a party bus down to all of Nashville’s finest honky tonks.

Odie’s Midtown. Line dancing, embroidery, and a party bus. In that order.

Thursday Got Hands-On

Thursday traded the main stage for laptops. LASSO Labs ran in two rounds so you could hit more than one:

  • Inventory Deep Dive—how to actually keep gear counts honest across multiple warehouses
  • From Sold to Paid—mastering quotes, invoices, and payments start to finish, featuring our payments partner, JustiFi
  • Workflow Buildout—bring your real event, build it with a LASSO expert
  • Customer Playbooks—peer-led, no slides

The Customer Playbook session was the most valuable because it focused on solving real operational challenges rather than showcasing software features…It challenged attendees to rethink how work gets done, not just what tools are used to do it.

—Karl Kirbie, Freeman

Our sponsors took the floor next, with sessions from Avalara on sales tax compliance, AmTrav on crew travel, Ascenditt on AI visibility and digital growth, and Check on embedded payroll. Then came the Customer Roadmap Forum, with a real look at what’s up next, and Ask Us Anything, a closing panel with Clay Sifford and Angela Alea.

Thank You to Our Sponsors

Summit doesn’t happen without them: Yoke, Justifi, GigRent, Human Interest, Pen & Mug, Avalara, AmTrav, Ascenditt, and Check. They showed up as more than logos on a banner, and the attendees noticed.

See You in 2027

Saddle Up Summit 2027 planning is already underway.

And if you read all of this wondering what a room full of operators was so fired up about—that’s LASSO. Book a demo and we’ll show you.
