It turns out that according to the highly authoritative National Day Calendar website, this week’s celebrations included National 7-Eleven Day. Originating in 1989, this day was set aside to celebrate the convenient store’s customers by offering a free Slurpee of choice. Also, this week we celebrated National Cheer up the Lonely Day, so why not combine the two and take a poor, lost soul to your local 7-Eleven and treat them to a cold one?
